I need to lower the PH on this bed, any idea how? Thank you |
You can amend the bed with peat moss which is acidic and will help lower the pH. If the soil is extremely alkaline (do a soil test - if it's over 7.0, you can apply elemental sulfur to the soil to help lower the pH in addition to the peat moss). You'll need to reapply the peat moss on an annual basis to maintain a low pH (blueberries are happy with a 4.5 to 5.5 pH). Best wishes with your blueberries! |
