|You likely have a warm season grass type and it goes dormant when the weather cools. In order to have a green lawn through most of the year, you can overseed your warm season grass with a cool season turf such as perennial ryegrass. Overseed in October and it will sprout and remain green until April when the weather warms up again. At that time it will go dormant but your warm season turf will green up.
