When is the best season to start growing your lawn?

Spring is the best time to plant a new lawn or renovate an established lawn. Most growth occurs in the spring and summer months; very little in the fall and none in the winter. Since it's late fall, I don't think a new lawn will have time to establish before winter weather arrives. For this reason, I vote for starting a lawn in the early spring.
