Osmanthus fragrans, the Sweet Olive, is a tender shrub that grows to about 10' tall and can be trained into a small tree. The plant grows outdoors in mild winter areas in full sun to part shade. You should be able to grow it indoors if you give it bright light, and supplement the winter light with some source of artificial or gro-lights. The plants thrive in average soil and very little water. Average household temperatures should be just fine for the Sweet Olive.
