Hello. I have a lavendar plant (THDA3625). Some of the leaves on the plant are becoming dry at the ends and there is a cobweb like thing forming on these leaves. I'm guessing it is some kind of insect.???? How do I get rid of whatever it is? Thank you. Sara |
It's hard to diagnose without seeing the plant but I suspect there's a spidermite population having a field-day. I'd prune away the dead foliage and hose the plant off with a strong stream of water to dislodge the pests. Lavender is sensitive to oil based sprays so I'd rely on plain water to discourage the spidermites. Just hose the plant off regularly (once or twice a week) for about a month. Best wishes with your lavender. |
