i rooted climbing roses this spring.can i plant them out side now or should i over winter them in my unheated but insulated garage.if so should i repot them.thanks

It sounds as though your roses are in containers. If so, you can overwinter them in an unheated garage. Wait until after they experience a frost (which will send the plants into dormancy) and then move them into the garage. Don't prune or repot them until next spring. Check the soil every 2-3 weeks. Your roses won't be actively growing so they won't need a regular supply of water but you'll want to make sure the soil doesn't dry out completely or it can wick moisture out of the roots of the plants. Just dribble a little water on the soil from time to time to keep it from becoming so dry that it pulls away from the sides of the pot. Good luck with your roses!
