Hi. I have an Hachiya Persimmon tree. Is it self pollinating, and how long will it take it to produce fruit AFTER i have planted it in the ground. I planted it 9/26/10 and it is about 6 feet tall.

If your tree is 6 feet tall, it could be mature enough to produce fruit within the next year or two. Some trees fruit at a young age and others need to be in the ground 3-5 years before they are mature enough to flower and bear fruit. Only time will tell with your tree!
