Should I fertilize my trees (such a atlas cedars, japanese maples, various pines) for winte?

Your trees should not be fertilized in the fall months. They are not actively growing now that the weather is cooling down and they won't really use the fertilizer. Wait until this spring when they begin to put out new growth and feed them then. They will be ready and able to use the food then. Best wishes with your landscape!
