|I am just trying to found out the name and growth habit of the Japanese Rice Paper Plant.|
|"Rice-Paper Plant" Tetrapanax papyriferus often grows as a multiple stemmed shrub reaching over 6 feet in height. In the south it may become weedy, as its roots spread very rapidly.|
It is sensitive to cold weather, freezing back to the ground in winter, but usually returning in spring in the deep south. It has large leaves (10-15 inches across) that are fuzzy and have up to a dozen or more lobes or "fingers".
