My ant killer, my insect spray chemicals, and weed killer did not seem to keep their strength from buying and using them last year to this season. Do these kind of products lose their strengths quicker than they use to?

The products you mention should remain viable for several years as long as they are properly stored. This means well sealed and stored in a cool area. If you keep them in a garage or outbuilding where temperatures soar in the summertime, they can lose their potency. I'd go ahead and use them up according to label directions. Best wishes with your landscape!
