You've purchased a tropical houseplant with a need for medium light. Set your plant in an area that gets about 8 hours of natural daylight each day, but does not get direct sunlight. As long as the room is bright enough for you to be able to read a newspaper, it should be bright enough for your new plant. Enjoy!
