|It's late in the season to be feeding a lawn but if you have never fed your new lawn, you can use a winterizer type fertilizer. These fertilizers are low in nitrogen (which encourages green growth) but high in phosphorous and potassium (the second and third numbers in the formula - they encourage healthy stem and root growth). A winterizer fertilizer will help your new lawn endure the winter weather and be ready to grow in the spring. Best wishes with your new lawn.
