I have a saucer magnolia that just drop all its leaves and I noticed some branches that are rubbing on each other. Is it a good time to trim these now, middle Nov. or should I wait for a better time?

I'd wait until after the first hard freeze, when the tree is dormant to prune. You can prune anytime from December through early March. Best wishes with your magnolia!
