Every spring I buy forced tulips, daffodiles etc. Can these bulbs be planted in the garden? If so, when?

Forced bulbs may or may not do well in the garden, but it's always worth a try with the exception of paperwhites because they are not winter hardy. Obviously you can't plan them when the ground is frozen, so keep the foliage going as best you can and then plant them outside when the weather has moderated a bit. The first year they may not bloom but if they survive they should bloom normally the year after that.
