I have a pkg of Paperwhites. Instructions say I must plant as soon as I receive the package. I'm not prepared to plant them for about 8 weeks. Is this ok? If so, why do the instructions read the way they do?

Unlike other spring flowering bulbs, paperwhites do not have a chill requirement. They do not need to be planted in the fall the way other bulbs sometimes do. You can keep your paperwhites in a cool, dark area and plant them in late January or early February. They should bloom right on time for you.
