Also, I want to plant my tubers up close to my apt. The only thing is it is very warm next to the building.(next to a boiler room) Good soil, but dry.Winter is comming, so how warm can it be? Is this OK?

Until we can determine the exact name of the plants, I'm not sure a warm place with reflected heat is a good idea - unless the plant is in fact Crocomima (montbretia). If so, they are from south Africa and love the heat so planting near a building should be fine.
