I have been considering starting some indoor seeds for my spring garden. The most important veggies I want in the Spring are tomatoes, numerous varieties of peppers, cucumbers, squash, broccoli, lettuce, and peas. When should I start planting these seeds indoors? And when should I set them out? |
You can start your cool season vegetables (broccolli, leaf lettuces, peas) indoors in January and set them out in the garden 6-8 weeks later - usually in late February or early March. Warm season veggies (tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers) can be started indoors in early February and set out in late March or early April, when the threat of frost has passed. Hope you have a great harvest! |
