When I was pulling out my tomato and zucchini plants I found some strange worms. They were curled like a sow bug but they were white with a red tip and bigger than a sow bug. Any idea what they are and are they good or bad.

I can't identify the grubs from your description but they probably are not good in a veggie garden. The best thing you can do is turn the soil to expose them to the elements and to birds. If you turn the soil every few weeks this winter, most should be gone by the time you're ready to plant in the spring. Good luck with your garden!
