Hi, I've heard that the Golden Nugget Loquat is an ornamental loquat. Is that true, and what does ornamental mean?

I think your information is incorrect. The sweetest and most prolific of all the loquats is Gold Nugget. It has round to oblong-obovate fruit with a yellow orange to orange skin which is tender. The flesh is orange-colored, juicy, firm and meaty. The flavor is sweet, somewhat reminiscent of apricot, and of good quality. It ripens late (around April) and the fruits are borne only a few to a cluster. The fruit keeps well; the tree ia vigorous, upright, and self-fertile.
