My maple tree has shed all its leaves. Is this a sign of the tree dying or is this normal during autumn? Should I trim off the branches now that the leaves are gone?

Maple trees are deciduous so they naturally lose their leaves in the fall. You can prune your tree if it is overgrown but it isn't necessary to prune every year. Enjoy your garden.
