Ficus - Knowledgebase Question

My Ficus bushes died over the winter. They had been sprayed for what I believe was white fly.
1. Is it OK to plant again in the same area? 2. Is it too soon to plant them?
I live in Florida.

I'd wait until spring to replace the ficus. While frosty weather can defoliate ficus, if the root system is healthy, the plants will leaf out in the spring. You might be surprized to find that you ficus is okay after all. If not, and you need to replace them, springtime is the best time to plant.
