I have a 16 foot wide northwest facing shed that is facing the street. Sandy and poor soil. Any ideas on shrubs to plant? Thank you.

You can improve the planting bed by amending the soil with compost or other organic matter, or you can plant native shrubs which are well adapted to your native soils. If you choose native shrubs, consider growing Jamesia americana (waxflower), Lonicera involucrata (twinberry), Philadelphus microphyllus (littleleaf mock-orange), or currant next to your shed. Enjoy your garden!
