We just moved to the FL Keys. I need info on local plants for containers while we are renting. I'd like something pretty but also in our new tropical theme. Also, what veggies can we grow in containers here?

The Florida Cooperative Extension has a publication on perennials I think you'll find helpful. Each of the plants listed also has growing conditions, mature size and sun exposure requirements so you can pick and choose your favorites. Here's the website where you can download a copy of the publication: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/mg035

As for vegetables, most will adapt to growing in containers. Here's a publication to help guide you in your selection: http://aggie-horticulture.tamu...

Since it's a long address, you may need to copy and paste it into your browser's address bar. Best wishes with your containerized garden!
