|How do I get rid of a cactus field (1/2 acre). I've tried everything. I'm told I will have to either dig them up or hire a licensed chemical person to use the only spray that will kill them. There has got to be another way??!!!

|I wish there were an easy way but cactus does not respond to vegetation killers the way woody and herbacious plants might. Your options are to knock down the tops of the cactus dig out the roots, or to cover the area with a weed block material to keep sunlight from penetrating. This will stop new growth and the roots will eventually rot. Wish there were an easier solution!
