I live just outside of Atlanta, GA and I am looking for some fast growing bushes to form a hedge. Maybe some kind of Ligustrum or whatever will grow fast and thrive in my region. Also, what is the best time to plant them?
Thanks, Bill

Ligustrum, green giant arborvitae, wax myrtle and chingo viburnum are all good choices for your gardening region. Arborvitae grows the fastest, if that's your main priority. Late winter and early spring are the best planting times. If you get them in the ground within the next 6 weeks, they'll have ample time to establish before hot weather sets in. Best wishes with your new hedge.
