apricot trees - Knowledgebase Question

I've been using Bonide Fruit Tree Spray on our fruit trees. Apricot trees are not listed on the package. We called Bonide twice & wrote to them & they said that we shouldn't use that product on apricot trees.
Is this true? If so, what spray should we use for apricot trees?

I presume you're using a protectant spray to help keep your apricot tree disease free. If so, use a copper based fungicide such as Micro-cop, but never a lime/sulfur based spray. Lime/sulfur can be used on apple trees but not on apricot trees. If you're spraying to kill overwintering insects and their eggs, you can use a dormant oil spray. Hope this clarifies things for you.
