My front lawn in Fontana, Ca. is bumpy, filled with grass and weeds and crabgrass. Can I put seed on it to get a green lawn? I have no way of taking it all out and starting over. I just want a green lawn. I'm a retired teacher.

Thank you, Val

Probably the best approach for you now is to use a weed killer on the lawn to control the weeds, and when they're dead spread a little topsoil over the low spots to help even out the lawn. Once that's done you can overseed your entire lawn. The seeds should sprout in about 10 days and help thicken up your turf. Now's a good time to start your project. Good luck with your lawn.
