San Jose, Ca
|i live in morgan hill, ca. zone 8b. i'm looking to plant a privacy screen along the property line which has a narrow planting space. it gets at least 6 hours sun. the soil has some clay. i'd like something that's fairly fast growing and low maintenance.is the glauca a good choice? if so how far apart to plant for a privacy screen. would another type of italian cypress be better? thank you.

|Italian Cypress Tree, Cupressus sempervirens 'Glauca,' is densely branched with a narrow columnar form 30'-40' high, 3'-4' wide. It makes a perfect privacy hedge when planted 4' apart. I think you've made a good choice!
