Will my hostas come back after being left out all winter?

If your hostas are planted in the ground and you mulched over the tops of the plants after frost killed the tops, the plants should be fine all winter long. You should see new leaves sprout in the spring after the weather warms. If you planted your hostas in pots rather than in the ground, the roots may freeze solid and kill the plants. In this case, you'll need to replace your hostas this spring. Enjoy your garden!
