what veggies can i plant in my zip facing South that can take full hot summer sun 7-8 hours each day? Blessings, Beth

Not many vegetable plants will thrive in the hot summer sunshine. If you cannot provide afternoon shade, it's best to plant in January for an April harvest and in October for a December harvest. The summer sunshine will really stress even heat loving peppers, tomatoes and corn. Here's a vegetable planting publication from ASU with preferred planting dates for various crops:
