|Snails and slugs can really damage a garden so you'll want to do everything you can to eliminate them and to discourage them from hanging out in your garden. Start by removing hiding places - piles of leaves, garden debris, etc. Then use a bait. I use the iron phosphate based Sluggo. It is highly efficient (slugs go away and die) and whatever is not consumed breaks down into iron which supplements the soil. Give it a try!
