Scented geraniums are great for fragrance indoors, followed by herbs such as thyme, basil, peppermint, sage and rosemary. Mint, in particular, offers a number of varieties, including chocolate mint, ginger mint and lemon mint. A small citrus tree, like a Meyer lemon, can also grow indoors, and gardenia is legendary as one of the most fragrant indoor plants around.
