We had Floratam sod laid last April. What type of weed and feed do we need to use and when. Thank you.

Floritam is an improved cultivar of St. Augustine and you can safely use a product such as Scotts Bonus S Weed and Feed for Southern Lawns if you follow label directions carefully. Or, you can avoid the use of weed and feed products on your Floratam lawns and promote a dense, healthy turf which will crowd out weeds. If you do all you can to develop a good, dense turf (regular mowing, deep infrequent watering and moderate fertilizing), over a year or two you will eliminate the vast majority of weeds in your turf. Best wishes with your lawn.
