My neighbor planted a curly willow tree in the corner of his yard, and the tree now is trying to move in on my small back yard space. The neighbor is disabled and can't do anything about the tree. How can I discourage the tree or halt roots/branches that come into my yard? Is there a specific remedy or will the tree have to go? Someone told me that Round up on the leaves would work.

Round Up will systematically kill the willow so unless your neighbor agrees, I wouldn't use the Round Up. About the only way to keep the roots from invading your property is to place a physical barrier on your side of the property line. Dig a trench and pour concrete, set concrete block, or place galvanized patio panels in the trench to deter the roots of the willow. Good luck with your project!
