I live in the Phoenix area with a 6' wall around my east, south and west back yard. Where can I plant my new pomegranate tree for optimal fruit production? Will it produce if I place it in the SW corner which gets (during summer months) at least 6 hours sunlight/day.
Thanks.

You're on the right track! As much sunshine as possible will encourage your pomegranate to produce lots of flowers and lots of fruits. The SW corner of your yard sounds great!
