Fuchsias benefit from periodic pinching during the growing season to help keep them full and bushy. If yours are woody you can prune them down by about one half; if yours are leggy but have not developed woody stems yet, you can trim them back by several inches. New growth will emerge from below the pruning cuts. I make it a habit to pinch back 3 or 4 inches of stem when I deadhead my fuchsias. Give this a try now and throughout the spring and summer months and you'll be happy with the results. Enjoy your fuchsias!
