I am just starting our garden this weekend and I want to know how do I keep the deer from eathing it. Garden size is 16 x 24. I live out in the country on 3 acres. Deer are everywhere.
Also, what kind of plants can I plant within the garden to help keep insects away?
Thank you....Patty Younce

The University of Florida has published a list of deer resistant plants (here's the website: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/uw137) which you might find helpful. In addition to planting deer resistant plants, you may need to fence your garden to keep the animals out. Some of the best plants to deter insects include marigolds, chives, tansy, rosemary, sage and catmint. Best wishes with your garden!
