Last season my lawn was very plush and green then suddenly in one big area it died out and turned brown, what would cause this? I also found a lot of little pellets in this area. Rabbits? This area will not come back green, what should I do to treat it?

I'm puzzled, too. If you found pellets, it could well have been rabbits - but I don't know for sure. I'd rake out the dead grass in the area, sprinkle a thin layer of compost over the top, dig it into the soil and then overseed the area. In about 10 days you'll have new grass sprouting and in a few weeks it will thicken up and fill in the area. Best wishes with your lawn!
