With a little care and patience you can start tomatoes such as Burpee's Supersteak Hybrid successfully from seed at home. (Burpee offers those as a seed starter kit, as plants, or as a simple packet of seeds.)You will need to start them about six or eight weeks before you plan to set them outside when the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed a bit. To order a catalog or seeds you might wish to contact Burpee directly at 800-888-1447. Enjoy your tomatoes!
