Should I cut back my ornamental grass? If so, how far? Right now it is about two feet tall.

Some ornamental grasses benefit from annual prunning and others resent being cut back. If the blades on your grass are brown and dead, cut it back to soil level. If they still have some color, cut just the tips back to encourage additional blades. Grasses grow in clumps and the centers of the clumps can die out after a while. When this happens, simply divide your plant by digging and cutting it into pieces so that each root clump has several blades emerging from it. Then replant and you'll have lots of new ornamental grasses.
