|My front yard gets the hot evening sun. I would love to have a beautiful flower display with lots of color, but no matter how much I water them, my flowers wind up burning up or are not pretty at all. What can I do? What type of flowers do I need? |
|First, mix at least 3-4 inches of compost into the soil in the planting area. This will improve its water and nutrient holding ability. Keep the area mulched after the weather gets warm and water by giving the area a good soaking once or twice a week in hot weather.|
Some plants for that area include: lantana, scaevola, wave petunias, portulaca, gomphrena, and dwarf zinnias.
Thanks for the question!
