|You can protect your crabapple treea from disease by spraying with a fungicide such as lime/sulfur (Bordeaux), Captan or Banner Maxx. Usually 3 fungicide applications need to be made so be sure to follow label directions for maximum results. Begin your spraying in the early spring when you see the buds starting to swell and grow, but before the actual blossoms open. You'll find detailed instructions on the fungicide label. Best wishes with your crabapple trees!
