A secret friend gave me a primrose but I don't know how to take care of it; I'd appreciate any info on this plant. |
Depending on what kind of primrose it is, your plant may be a hardy one or it may be more of a delicate greenhouse specimen in which case it will be difficult to keep it going under average household conditions. In general primroses prefer cool temperatures and ample moisture during the growing season with less moisture during the winter. Planted outdoors, they do well in a spot with moist, rich, humousy soil in partial shade and tend to do best in cooler summer climates such as the Pacific Northwest. |
