Most plants will tolerate occasional splashes of properly maintained pool water. Heavily chlorinated water will take its toll, though, and over time it can raise the soil's salt content. To ensure plant health, periodically flood or flush the soil with tap water to help avoid salt buildup. Put plants in fast-draining soil, and water heavily to leach away salts. You can grow Baccharis 'Centennial'; dwarf fruitless olive 'Little Ollie'; Dymondia margareta; Ground ivy (Glechoma hederacea); Korean grass (Zoysia tenuifolia); Scaevola; Artemisia 'Powis Castle'; Coreopsis; Gaillardia; Jerusalem sage (Phlomis); Santolina. Enjoy your garden!
