The last couple of years I had tried to grow eggplant. I haven't been getting any fruit; do they like the full sun and do they have to be watered alot?

Basically, yes, eggplants need full sun and plenty of water. Eggplant needs a very long growing season of full sun and warm days to grow well. Plant the transplants outside when the weather has really warmed up -- with days in the upper sixties -- because these plants are very cold sensitive. Some gardeners also use raised beds and/or black plastic to warm the soil for their eggplants. They need a deep, rich soil that is evenly moist but well drained and appreciate a good layer of mulch because they should not be allowed to dry out.
