|I am searching for a source for a Japanese Wineberry. It resembles a raspberry to a certain degree, but I have been unable to find anywhere that carries plants for sale.|
|Wineberry (Rubus phoenicolasius) is grown for its ornamental foliage which has silvery under-surfaces and purplish veins. The stems are covered with brown hairs. The flowers are rather small and the red fruits are edible. The plant can spread and become invasive and is therefore not appreciated in areas!
After an exhaustive search, however, I was finally able to locate a commercial source of plants:
Forest Farm; 990 Tetherow Rd.; Williams, OR 97544-9599; phone orders (541) 846-7269.
