Unplanted Bulbs Life Span - Knowledgebase Question

I bought some bulbs last year (freesia and ranunculus), but ended unable to plant them because we decided to buy a house and I wasn't sure where we would be living. I still have them after having put them in a cool dry place and I want to know if I plant them this year would they still grow and produce flowers?

To be honest it is pretty unlikely at this point, but since the alternative is to throw them out I always vote for giving it a try.
