While visiting relatives in South Carolina, we were given some cotton with seeds. Can these seeds be planted here? We would love to watch the plant grow. How deeply do we plant, what sun exposure, etc.?

Treat cotton seeds just like okra or hibiscus. They love full sun, good drainage, warm weather, and moderate amounts of water and a balanced fertilizer. Plant them about 1/4 inch deep in a soil with some compost added.

Hope you have a cotton pickin' good time with those seeds!
