I want to order Ligustrum amurense, but am concerned because we get very heavy snow in winter. Will they survive being covered with snow during the winter?

Amur Privet, or Ligustrum amurense, is an excellent shrub for your area. It will not remain evergreen (as it will in warmer winter areas), but will survive your winters, and is often used as a screen or privacy hedge in your growing region. Plant Ligustrum with confidence and enjoy the seasonal flowers and glossy green leaves of this tough shrub.
