Growing Lavender in Zone 6 - Knowledgebase Question

I recently moved to zip code 19031, which I believe is in zone 6. Can lavender be grown indoors because I have read that our summers are too humid here to grow it outdoors successfully?

In my experience it is quite possible to grow lavender outside in your area -- select a hardy variety, provide it with a neutral to alkaline soil that drains well, along with a spot in full sun and an open situation with good air circulation and you should have no problems. I honestly doubt you would have much luck trying to grow it indoors.
